Our 'Wild Tundra' camp is strategically located at an environmentally sensitive location on Canada's Tundra, on the territory of Nunavut (Our Land) or as the aboriginal Inuit people refer to it...the 'barren lands'.

What makes Wild Tundra a unique experience is our proximity to the 'calving grounds' used by the Qamanirjuag caribou herd for centuries, and we're the only camp for hundreds of miles. At last count their numbers were estimated at 380,000 and wherever the caribou are, white tundra wolves and brown bears even wolverine are often present. Then there is an iconic symbol of "the north" the magnificent Musk Ox, see photo next page.

The evening before your departure 'Wild Tundra' will be featuring a cultural exchange opportunity for you. A traditional feast will be provided by Inuit elders, storytellers renowned artists and traditional drummer(s).

While wildlife viewing and photography are significant reasons for spending time at Wild Tundra ornithology, botany, geology, archaeology and cultural exchange are also high on the list of Wild Tundra clients. Many will join us for the spectacular 'Northern Lights' & fishing.
